2 DAYS JUNGLE SURVEY AT NAM HA NATIONAL PROTECTED AREA

A great Laos soft adventure discovery tour for active people who like to bike and hike around Laos to experience the Lao nature and people. Now you can discover Nam Ha National Protected Area by hike through mountains of the jungle forest, explore real nature and wild lifestyle…… overnight in the bamboo camp, enjoy traditional local food prepared with selected forest spices.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Ban Nam Ha- Bamboo Camp. 
Start from our office by Tuk Tuk around 30 minutes to Ban Nam Ha, to be joined by a local Khmu guide. The first day’s pace is moderate though the Nam Ha NPA where the guide’s knowledge of edible and medicinal plants will be demonstrated… You will be hiking uphill to see several massive old trees, many types of bamboo and divers forest plants. If you travel quietly you may see some wild animals such as: monkeys, wild goats and wild pigs. The traditional picnic lunch will preparing by local guide.
After lunch continue walk along the Nam Ha River to the bamboo camp we should arrive around 4:30 pm and overnight alongside the Nam Ha River. Besides resting, you are free to go fishing for dinner with your Khmu guide or stroll around the camp or opt for a refreshing swim in the Nam Ha River alongside your camp.

2 DAYS DISCOVERING THE CHARM OF NINH BINH BY BIKE

Just 100 km South of Hanoi, NinhBinh is a province of astounding natural beauty with limestone peaks whose splendour is often said to surpass that of Ha Long Bay. It is even often referred to as "Ha Long Bay on land". You will discover the charm of NinhBinh by bike as you visit Van Long Nature Reserve, Cuc Phuong National Park, and Tam Coc and Bich Dong. This trip makes for a truly unforgettable experience, as you pass between towering limestone peaks, rice fields, lotus flowers ponds and local villages. As you cycle alongthe local roads between villages, you'll have the chance to meet local people, see their daily lives and often have a cup of tea and chat with them.


This two day excursion is for all types of travelers, including families and small groups. You will stay at the best available hotels in the region. Further, you will be fully supported by a van and a guide who is a cycling enthusiast with extensive experience a passion for providing top notch service.


Our bikes are top quality, lightweight, and can be adapted according to the terrain. We can also accommodate all sizes of riders, including children.

Day 1: Hanoi - Van Long - Cuc Phuong National Park


You will be picked up at 8:00 am at the hotel and leave Hanoi for a two-hour drive along Highway One (formerly Mandarin Road). You will start cycling from Dich Long Bridge and bike on the dyke of Van Long Nature Reserve. You will see caves, green rice fields, limestone peaks and the rural life of the locals. Your final biking destination of this morning will be your hotel.

In the afternoon (following a short transfer by van to the Cuc Phuong National Park) you will visit the Primates Rescue Center. You will then cycle up hills further into the jungle (18km), which is a challenging ride, but worth it once you find yourself in the middle of the jungle, listening to the musical sound of the local birds. Next, you will go back to the comfort of your hotel where you will enjoy the spa and dine in style at your hotel. (You will also have the option to take a boat cruise or do absolutely nothing and simply relax.

Day 2: BaiDinh Pagoda - Dinh and Le Temples - Tam Coc - Thai Vi Temple - Bich Dong Pagoda - Hanoi


You will travel by van to BaiDinh Pagoda which is the biggest pagoda in Vietnam. From here you will start cycling on the countryside road to Hoa Lu, an ancient citadel of Vietnam dating back to the 10th Century. You will stop here in order to visit Dinh and Le Temples, as well as NhatTru Pagoda or the One Pillar Pagoda which is reached on foot.

Then you will continue riding through the limestone peaks to Tam Coc, passing rice paddies and rural villages.You will have lunch in Tam Coc near the boat pier before continuing biking to explore Tam Coc, Thai Vi Temple, Bich Dong Pagoda and more.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa – Ta Van Village

The train arrives in Laocai in the early morning. Embark on a scenic drive up the mountain to Sapa: Northwest Vietnam’s premier travel destination. Perched at an attitude 1,600 meters above cavernous valleys and terraced rice paddies, Sapa was first established as a hilltop retreat for French administrators seeking to escape the summer’s heat. Home to many hill tribe peoples, Sapa’s diverse cultures and seclusion give it a unique charm.

After breakfast in the town, descend down the valley on a trail through rice paddy terraces, enjoying the spectacular scenery on the way. Once reaching the narrow river running on the bottom of the valley, you will walk along its bank for a while and eventually arrive at the Black H’mong minority's village - Y Linh Ho. You will get a first-hand look into their lives and traditions, hear stories, and enjoy a great social interaction.


Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic lookout and then walk deeper into Muong Hoa Valley. You will pass through Lao Chai Village of Black H’mong minority and Ta Van Village of Zay minority by following more rice terraces with spectacular mountain scenery before emerging on the main road to meet your driver. Drive up hill back to Sapa. Spend rest of the day to relax or chat with local hill-tribe people on your favor.

Day 3: Sapa – Tram Ton Pass - Heavens Gate – 2900m

This morning, travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. Then drive further passing the Tram Ton Pass to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam where you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains and down hill is stunning view of Binh Lu Valley.


The beginning of the trek is relatively soft until lunch place. After couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a pinic lunch.

Continue the trek ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route you have opportunity to enjoy the scenery and spectacular views to Sapa area. You will arrive at the campsite at 2900m in the late afternoon.


There is time to relax and enjoy a special dinner prepared by your local guide and porters.
Trekking: 5 hrs/ascend 2,900 m from 1,600 m (Sapa).


Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Accommodation: Camping.

Day 4: 2900m – Fansipan peak – 2700m

After breakfast, climb to the peak of Fansipan, now you conquer the roof of “Indochine”. It is great excuse to have a celebration and enjoy the panoramic view. You will then start descending. Lunch place is a nice spot where you could relax for a while and enjoy the view.

Afternoon, start the hard trek, which is all the way downhill follows the animal trails through rainforest. This part requires a great concentration to step o¬n steep trail until we reach the campsite at 2700m. Here you spend another night in tent.

Day 2 - Bangkok city tour

This morning we visit the spiritual and religious heart of the city - the striking Grand Palace. Topped by golden stupas, the complex has been the site of royal coronations and is home to the legendary Emerald Buddha. We’ll also visit the House of the Reclining Buddha, the Original Thai Massage School and the 24hr Flower Market before boarding longtail boats to explore the city’s canals.


Known as khlongs, the canals enable surface water to make its way to the sea and have long been a way of getting around Bangkok. On our journey we’ll glide by curious stilted houses and gleaming temples whilst old men fish and children folic about on the waters edge.

Our boats drop us off within walking distance of Khao San Road, popular with backpackers and hippies. Late afternoon offers free time for you to enjoy the many bars, restaurants, street performers, market stalls and tailors - that will measure you up for a new suit, that line this vibrant road.

Day 3 - Visit the river of Kwai

Bangkok - Kanchanaburi. It’s an early start today as we drive 2.5hrs west of the capital to the small town of Kanchanaburi. Here we pay our respects to the thousands of Allied POWs who perished in the area under the hand of the Imperial Japanese Army.


After pausing at the Allied War Cemetery we continue to the infamous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’, immortalised by the film of the same name. You have a chance to take pictures before you board a train for a 2 hour journey that crosses the bridge before following the tracks dug by the POWs and locals some 75 years earlier.

Disembarking at Nam Tok we have a short drive to ‘Hellfire Pass’ where the POWs dug through a mountain often using only their bare hands. A fascinating museum at the entrance details the region’s history.


After our day’s sightseeing a leisurely longtail boat ride leads us to our fabulous floating jungle raft hotel. To the beauty of a hundred softly glowing lanterns and the sounds of the tropical forest and cool water flowing by we enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening on the deck.

Day 4 - Go to the wild - Ayuthaya

Kanchanaburi - Ayuthaya. This morning we travel on to the beautiful Erawan National Park, to explore the rivers, waterfalls and trails on foot. The park boasts a stunning tiered waterfall and there’s time to take a quick dip in the crystalline waters before we visit an elephant centre to enjoy a ride through the forest. Our final destination today is Ayuthaya, the former capital of Thailand.

Day 5 - Visit the temple of Ayuthaya

Ayuthaya - Bangkok - Chiang Mai. Ayuthaya was sacked by the Burmese, leading them to abandon the site and relocate the capital to Bangkok. All that remains are the stone and brick temples from the era. Today we explore Ayuthaya’s famous ruins, visiting the magnificent stupas at Wat Phri Sanphet, the giant Bronze Statue of Buddha and iconic Wat Mahatat where the head of a damaged Buddha statue has slowly been embraced and lifted by a nearby tree. This is one of Thailand’s most religiously significant places.

Departing Ayuthaya we board a cruise ship on the mighty Chao Praya River, for a scenic cruise back to the Bangkok, enjoying lunch on board. On arrival there’s time to explore the nearby shops and bars before heading to Bangkok’s main train station to catch our overnight express sleeper train (2nd class A/C sleeper cabins) to Chiang Mai.

Come to the Khantoke, this dinner is a nice introduction in the Lanna culture. The dinner will be served on a khantoke (=low round table) and consists of typical Northern Thai dishes. While you are eating you can enjoy a beautiful show with traditional live performed music.
