DAY 1 : ARRIVE IN LUANG PRABANG

Welcome to Laos, the mysterious Buddhist country with unique culture and natural beauty.

Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, your private local guide will welcome you in the airport then escort you to your hotel in Luang Prabang city.

Free at leisure.

In the evening, you can wander around the city and the night market to discover local life of Luang Prabang.

DAY 2 : KUANG SI WATERFALLS AND HALF DAY LUANG PRABANG CITY TOUR

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Luang Prabang, the city surrounded by Mekong River and well known for its golden city is well known for its beautiful decorated Buddhist temples, it is a place that you will keep appearing in your mind for long time after visiting.

Your memorable trip will starts from partaking in an alms ritual in the morning, you will accepts the blessing by monks who you give the alms. Have breakfast in the hotel and then start the half day excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will enjoy beautiful natural scenery, have fun in waterfalls and relax.

Back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Wat Xiengthong which is symbolic temple of the classic Laotian architecture, visit the Royal Palace Museum to learn some history of Laos. Then visit the Wat Aham Temple which means “Monastery of the Opened Heart” and the Stupa of Wat Visoun.

Rest of the day at your leisure to relax and explore the city

You can enjoy some drinks in one of the cafés or strolling along the beautiful riverside……

Cruising to visit Pak Ou Caves and Khouang Si Waterfall

 DAY 3 MEKONG RIVER CRUSIE & PAK OU CAVE

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3, You will embark on the Luang Say boat for a 2 days cruise to Huay Xai, the small town located at the border of Laos and Thailand.

The boat will start at 7:00 am, you will enjoy a continental breakfast while cruising to the Pak Ou Village which located at the mouth of the Nam Ou River. You will have a shore excursion to visit the Tam Thing Caves of Thousand Buddhas.
Lunch will be a buffet on board and the boat will keep cruising upstream the Mekong River to a hill tribe village where ou can watch the traditional process of Lao whiskey production.

The boat will stop at Pak Beng around sunset and check in Luang Say Lodge for overnight. Dinner will be arrange on the Luang Say Lodge terrace restaurant with a view of the Mekong River.

DAY 4 : FULL DAY CRUISING TO CHIANG RAI

After the dinner we will set up tents on camping area and continue with a night walk in the vicinity of the camp site in search for nocturnal species like snakes, civets, porcupines, birds and more.

We recommend you have a flashlight with you.

Sunset at KAENG KRACHAN NATIONAL PARK

DAY 2 ( ABOUT 5 A.M. TO 9 P.M.)

Starting from around 5.00 a.m in the morning, we’ll drive all the way till the end of dirt road and from there start hiking a moderate to difficult trail.

You’ll need to be fit for this hike as the starting elevation is 650m above the sea level and the deeper we get into the jungle we will gradually descend to 200m above the sea level. Half way through the trail we will have a lunch break at Thor Thip waterfall where it is also possible to cool off in the water.

In the late afternoon we will start drive back to the base camp and arrive there when it gets dark.

After the dinner, if you have any energy left from the hiking we could continue with another night walking with flashlights in hand.

We will pass through traditional villages with wooden houses on stilts, ride along small roads through the rice fields and stop at a lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. Encounters like water buffalos crossing the street or children surprised by the unusual sight of foreigners in their village are to be expected.

At the end of the afternoon we will bring you to the center of Chiang Mai. Here you can enjoy a relaxing Thai massage, which dates from the Ayutthaya period. You are massaged for about 2 hours by qualified masseuses according to the acupressure method.

Then head to the famous night market for shopping and dinner, after that we bring you back to your villa.

Day 3
Morning free at leisure to enjoy the tropical climate.

In the afternoon you will visit the famous temple of Chiang Mai, Doi Suthep.

Then on to a village of the Hmong hill tribe, who always build their villages on top of a mountain building. This tribe originates from Laos and during the Vietnam War they fought on the side of the Americans fought and are known for their good fighters.

Come to the Khantoke, this dinner is a nice introduction in the Lanna culture. The dinner will be served on a khantoke (=low round table) and consists of typical Northern Thai dishes. While you are eating you can enjoy a beautiful show with traditional live performed music.
