Tra Que is a charming little village located just a few kilometres from Northeast of Hoi An. Its location is between De Vong river and Tra Que algae pond (Cam Ha commune – Hoi An town). Riding a bike around Hoi An countryside is an exciting experience to discover and feel the real life of farmers in Central Vietnam. Spend a day to visit the tranquil village, be a farmer and learn how plant as well as cook daily dishes of local people.
Morning :
From your hotel, ride on bicycle to Tra Que Vegetable Village. You will ride on narrow roads to visit a place of display farming and fishing tools of the local farmers and fishermen.
In this place you will participate in activities of the local residents’ daily life in the old time such as bailing out water with long handles buckets, pounding rice, lifting fishing nets, etc… They prepare the land, fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake. Watch and participate in raking, sowing, watering the greens, picking vegetables…
Lunch :
Spend the morning working the land, until it’s time to prepare some special foods with a local family. Sample tam huu spring rolls, and banh xeo, a pancake from central Vietnam.
