07 DAYS 06 NIGHTS HIGHTLIGHT NORTH OF THAILAND PACKAGE TOUR - CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI

The quieter neighbor of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai is a land of outstanding natural beauty, where visitors looking to avoid the hordes can visit remote hill tribes, spot exotic wildlife, and check out the golden triangle, the former center of the world’s opium trade.

Day 01: Fly Bangkok - Chiangmai (B)

After breakfast, we will transfer you from hotel to Bangkok International Airport for taking a flight to Chiang Mai. Upon the arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport and meet our guide and driver for travel to Doi Suthep temple which it is a Holy Temple and sits a good thousand meters above the surrounding landscape, so it is a great place to view the countryside.

And then continue on to visit Meo Hill Tribe living in simple huts and speaking their own language. And next is visiting to Phuping Palace. Here you can visit tribal villages in the hills skirting Chiang Mai and can see their daily life-style here.

Stop for having some lunch before continuing to another place. Next place after your lunch is visiting to the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek, a world-class horticulture expo to celebrate the auspicious occasions of HM King Bhumibol’s 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne and his 80th birthday in 2006-2007, Thai Cabinet decided to maintain the condition of the park as the newest travel destination of Chiang Mai.

The Royal Park Ratchaphruek sits in Mae Hia sub-district and covers an area of 240,000 square meters, divided into different zones you need to spend the whole day here. Perched at the center is an authentic Lanna architecture of Ho Kham Luang Royal Pavilion where a painting exhibition about the life and works King Bhumibol is displayed inside.

Visitors should not miss to visit the Orchid Garden to see rare orchids and International Gardens to hop into different styles of gardens curated by different participating countries, such as South Korea, China, Japan and Bhutan, to represent their cultures. Other zones include the World of Insects, Rare Plants and Corporate Zone. Then return to your hotel. Free and relax on your own time afterwards.

Day 02: Chiangmai – Elephant Lover for Half Day Tour & Thai Massage (B)

In the early morning, we are going to offer some foods (Tak Baat) for Thai Monks in order to have a good merit in the Buddhism way of life during staying in Chiangmai. Then back to hotel and having some breakfast.

After breakfast, we are visiting to the Patara Elephant Farm where the farm is good for people who loved the elephants and would love to stay close with them. Besides, they can be an owner for a half day to learn how to unchain and keep them relax not like the other elephant farms.

You will have a chance to bath them and feed them and walking and riding on the elephant’s backs without iron-chaired. Return to Chiangmai downtown and have a Thais Massage for 2 hours after the tour finished. Drop off at hotel and free on your own time afterwards.

Day 03: Chiangmai – Learning Thai Cooking Class (B/L)

Sawadee Ton Chao! which means ‘Good morning!’ Today is your great day and we wish you to enjoy your day with us at our organic farm. Between 08:30am to 09:00am the teacher will come to pick you up from your hotel or guesthouse.

We will bring you to Ruamchook local Market, which is a large and clean market just outside the city on the way to our farm. The teacher will explain you about rice, how to make fresh coconut milk and how to choose seasoning products.

You will have enough time to walk around and take pictures and watch vendors selling their products. After 20 minutes driving we will arrive at our farm. Our guests love the view of the surrounding mountains and the tranquility of the countryside.

Day 02: Full day The Royal Grand Palace-Bangkok Temples Tours (B/L)

This morning our sightseeing with a Motor long tailed boat to view the Chaopraya River through the Thonburi canal in order to observe their local life of the people how stay both sides of the Canals and the River. Later, you will be transfer to Wat Trimit, where it keeps the gold Buddha image in the Mandala or Mondapa. 5.5 tone of solid gold, sculptured in Sukhothai style.


Stop for your Lunch at a local restaurant. Next, you will be transferred to Wat Phra Kaew, the chapel of the Emerald Buddha, which houses the world’s most precious image of The Lord Buddha the75cm statue of jade sits atop an 11m golden pedestal surrounded by lavish mural and richly decorated pavilions.


Then you will move to visit The Grand Palace which encompassed several major building. The most prominent building includes the throne hall,the reception hall and the coronation hall. Drive through China town, Indian town, the flower market and the Central business district of Bangkok.

Visit to Wat Pho, the temple of the Reclining Buddha, a stunning. Statue with 46m long and 15m high covered in gold leaf. At 17.00pm, the highlight is you will have an opportunity to sit inside the main ordination hall for listening to the monks are chanting in the evening time. After receiving the blessing from the monks then return to the hotel.

Day 03: Full day Damnoensaduak Floating Market-Ancient City Tours (B/L)

After breakfast, this morning we enjoy a scenic drive of the salted field and the local houses on both sides of the roads. At arrival the boat pier and we will enjoy on the motor long tailed boat along the canals pass many orchard gardens and local houses as well as Thai spiritual houses.


Until reaching to the Damnoensaduak Floating market and get off from the boat then free time walking along the banks of the canals to explore the busy market where the local contain their foods, desserts to sell for purchasers in the morning. Later, returning to Bangkok and drive straight to the Ancient city in Samut Prakan Province.

Drop off at Muang Boran or Ancient city where the world’s biggest outdoor museum that occupies more than 200 acres (500 Rai) in the area, this fun museum was built in 1963 and portrays the smaller-scaled and actual-size replicas of many important historical sites such as Prasat Hin Phanom Rung in Buriram, Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, Phraphuttabat in Saraburi, Phrathat Mueang Nakhon in Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Phrathat Chaiya in Surat Thani, and so much more.


More than that, you can also study some Thai traditional folk arts and culture that are rare to find these days. The museum is only eight kilometers from the downtown and it surely won’t disappoint you. Return to hotel after end of the tours.

Day 04: From Bangkok to Ayutthaya (Return by Cruise) (B/L)

07.30am: Pick up you from hotel and depart for Ayutthaya Province.
08.30am: Arrive at Bang Pa-In Summer Palace was first used by the royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century.


10.30am: Continue to visit Wat Mahathat is located in front of the Grand Palace to the east, next to Pa Than Bridge. The temple is believed to be one of Ayutthaya's oldest temples, possibly built by King Boromaraja I (1370-88).

11.00am: Carry on to visit Wat Na Phra Men, the temple has been restored a number of times but still has a finely proportioned Ubosot and Viharn. The Ubosot design is very old in the typical Thai style. The most interesting object is the principal Buddha image, which is fully decorated in regal attire.


11.30am: Visit Wat Lokayasutharam, it was abandoned after the fall of Ayutthaya to the invading Burmese in 2310 B.E. This temple house a large Reclining Buddha Image 37 metres in length, built of bricks and plaster.


12:30pm: Board the cruise and have Buffet Lunch with delicious meal served in the luxurious surrounds of a cruise boat. Afternoon - Coffee Break - Witness the beauty of the Chao Phraya River and rural life along the two riverbanks from the cruise deck or from the cool, air-conditioned passenger cabin. Arriving in Bangkok, you will pass by the majestic Grand Palace and Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn).


15:30pm: Arrive Bangkok at the river city pier and then drive you to Bangkok Airport for flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, then meet our guide and driver and transfer to hotel. Check in and relax on your own time afterwards.

ALL ABOUT CHIANG MAI - THAILAND'S ROSE OF THE NORTH

Nestled into the foothills of northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is a sanctuary. The pace is laid-back, the accoutrements are international and the landscape is picturesque. Depart from hotel to Rattanakosin Island, the original area of Bangkok when it was first established as the capital over 200 years ago

Cruise in a comfortable long-tail motor boat along the Chao Phraya River and canals in Thonburi area. You will be treated to spectacular and colorful scenery of Thai life along the river banks. The Bangkok people still depend on the waterways to transport their merchandise.

En-route you can see many magnificent temples and architectural buildings, including Grand Palace, Wat Arun or The Temple of Dawn, the Royal Thai Navy Dockyard, the Thai Maritime Navigation Company, the Old Customs House and Royal Barges Museum.

Visit to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is one of Bangkok’s best know landmark. It stands on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thon Buri. Wat Arun is best seen from the opposite bank of the river; it glistens in the sunlight duDaring the day and stands dark and noble at dawn or dusk.

A visit to the beautiful, peaceful monastery complex surrounding the familiar towers is very worth-while. These towers, the "Phra Prang," although best known, the only part of Wat Arun. It also contains narrow lanes; elegant, old white buildings; shrines, pools of turtles; and two fine giants, "Yuk Wat Jaeng," mortal enemies of the "Yuk Wat Po" across the river.

Visit Wat Phra Kaeo, the most beautiful and important Buddhist temple in Thailand. It is so richly and intricately decorated that, once entering the temple, you will feel as if you are in a real ’city of angels’.

Visit The Grand Palace, an area of 218,400 sq. metres and is surrounded by walls built in 1782. The length of the four walls is 1,900 metres. Within these walls are situated government offices and the Chapel Royal of the Emerald Buddha besides the royal residences.

Visit Vimanmek Mansion, the world’s largest building made entirely of golden teak. The three story wooden palace has 81 rooms, halls and ante-rooms, and now Thailand’s first handicraft museum where her majesty the queen collects handicraft masterpieces created by members of Support foundation. In the museum, can find such handicrafts as neillowares, Thai silk with various unique designs.

Visit Wat Pho or Temple of the Reclining Buddha, founded in the 16th century, the oldest and biggest temple with the largest number of pagodas (95 in all) in the city. Wat Pho was the first open university of Thailand which offered courses in several branches of knowledge like literature, astrology, medicine and massage. It’s well known for its huge Reclining Buddha, 46 m. long and 15 m. high.
